JD James, Inc. (www.JDJamesCorp.com), a leading high-end millwork and cabinetry installation company, recently completed architectural millwork installations for the Florida Department of Revenue’s newly constructed offices located on Capitol Circle in Tallahassee, Florida.

The Department of Management Services Division of Real Estate Development and Management constructed three new LEED Certified energy efficient buildings to house the Department of Revenue. Totaling approximately 474,000 sq. ft and costing $114 million, construction included two five-story buildings and one two-story call center. Construction incorporated green building practices in order to conserve energy and Florida’s natural resources in addition to consolidating 18 Department of Revenue locations currently scattered throughout the Tallahassee area. The buildings will enable DOR employees to conduct their jobs more efficiently and effectively.

JD James, Inc. installed cabinets, countertops and trim in a total of 64 rooms in various locations throughout the three DOR buildings. Included in the installs were copy, break, training, security, evidence, computer labs, file, conference, mapping and mail rooms.
